I'm Off!

Well, I'm off on my first business trip since Kacey's arrival. My folks are here to save the day as always but any happy thoughts will be appreciated. I've known that this day would come since I started adoption process but now that it's here I'm a world of sad--I know that Kacey will be fine it's me that I'm worried about if that makes sense.

How in the world do you leave a face like this for over 1 week...I guess I'm going to find out!! Good news, I don't travel often bad news I go far and for a week at a time.

Oh sweetie - I hope it goes smoothly and you get through it just fine. Sounds really hard. Do you have Skype or something like that installed so you guys can talk for free anytime you want?

moms ALWAYS take it harder than the kids, if we weren't sad to leave them...we wouldn't be their moms! I so wish you didn't have to leave her, but she IS in WONDERFUL hands! The first time is the hardest...it'll be ok...

Kacey looks BEAUTIFUL!!!

Have a good trip

You will be fine, you will be fine. Just like you were when she started school even though you never thought you could possibley make it.

Take lots of deep breathes and you will be home before you know it. Just think of the ENORMOUS hug you are going to get.

Think how absolutley WONDERFUL the homecoming will be. Hopefully they will keep you busy and you can speak to your sweet baby every night and have sweet dreams. I KNOW what a wonderful grandmother Nana Susan is, what a nice vaca for Kacey.

MISSING YOU ALL

I always remind myself toddlers can't tell time- so YOU know it is a whole week but as far as kacey knows it is just a long day!! i bet she will have fun chatting with you on the phone.

Oh, I feel the pain in your words. But you know every one at home will be fine. Kacey will miss you and love you just as much when you get home! Concentrate on work and the days will fly by. I have a work trip coming up in March and I am dreading what used to be my "away" time because I am going away from my girl. We'll be sending you strong vibes. And if I may say, "Who is that beautiful young girl?" Kacey is growing more gorgeous with each picture.

The best thing about leaving is coming back to see the happiness on your daughter's face when she sees you again. Take it a day at a time lady and it will be OK. Besides, she is in wonderful hands with those fantastic folks of yours.
Oh and BTW, your daughter is sooo beautiful! I had to tell you that again.

Blogger Tammie had this to say:

As hard as the leaving is, the homecoming will be a wonderful event for you. The smiles, the hugs, the kisses, the cuddling.

Is there any chance for you to webcam it nightly (or daily) with Kacey?

Blogger Ani had this to say:

Its so hard to travel for business! I always take one of my son's pacifiers along - like my own security blanket.
The good news - he does great in my absence. The bad news - I come home to a very clingy baby.
Enjoy some "alone" time and have a safe trip.

Blogger Mary had this to say:

Can't wait to hear how the homecoming goes! I am sure Miss Kacey will be over the moon to see her Mommy again. Leaving is so difficult! Coming home is FANTASTIC!!

Blogger Christi and Abbey had this to say:

I keep telling myself that my job is what makes our life together possible. A week is a long time but I hope it flies past for you. Thank goodness for your parents, not all single moms have that support. I don't know what I would do with out my mom.

Blogger Heather had this to say:

This is tough! I hope you're doing okay. I also travel and remember the amazing guilt when I first had to be gone overnight. But rest assured, everything will be fine. And, BTW, Kacey is gorgeous. Her hair is really growing!
