The Stork was listening...

It's a proven fact that storks love babies! Sweet Katie Starr sent her a message on Friday and darn if she wasn't safely landed in Austin on Saturday with Kacey and all of her girlfriends in her pouch. She's resting now but should be making her final landing at Great Wall tomorrow morning--so we wait. I thought I was getting good (or at least better) at that but alas, NO, I can't wait for Monday!

Thank you Katie Starr, I can't wait to send you a picture of Kacey tomorrow via the Cyber Stork who is much faster :)

Happy Mother's Day to me. My friend Sharon Crippen decided that "referral day" was my first official Mother's Day and sent me these beautiful sweetheart roses. Mother's Day is now Monday for me but they will smell just as sweet then as they do now, maybe even sweeter!

It's Friday do you know where your baby is???

Rumor has it mine (or at least her file) is in California--don't know how people find out this info but I'll take it :) M3 how far are you from LA, feel like a road trip of love????

I'm getting set up here at the office for the big call, Danielle bought me this great frame for Kacey's referral picture which she finally got to give me on Wednesday at our celebratory Mexican dinner complete with margaritas and FOUR kinds of dip, my kind of dinner! I also have the butterfly clip that Amelia's Mommy, Cindy gave me ready for action. I only need to clean up the crap in the rest of the office but I'll wait and do that this afternoon when I get really crazy.

Hanging on, by a thin red thread. Is it Monday yet?

One more thing, a shout out to Anna & Molly in Texas celebrating their 1 year referral announcement anniversary! We hoped I'd be sharing the same day so we could hoop it up together every year here in cyber space but we'll will just have to celebrate the entire referral month instead!

Hang On Cats & Kittens...

Looks like no Kacey news until Monday, the stork was moving a little slow out of Beijing and won't arrive until then. Don't touch that dial we'll be right back!

THE GREAT WALL STORK IS IN THE AIR!

Kacey is on the first leg of her journey home!

Check back on Friday for all the details.

Is She or Isn't She?

A large European country says that the stork, Kacey's STORK, is in the air! This comes from the country that is "usually right" and it's happened before, the stork was in the air BEFORE the CCAA site was updated. We'll just have to see won't we!

When my phone tree call came in this morning I was a big pile of mush...thanks D.

P.S. Brighton opens at 10AM and I'm picking up my LLB purse just in case :)

Sweet Dress from Angel along with a promise from my Aunt Becky that she'll be flying a LLB flag at her house even if she has to make it herself. Posted by Picasa

Mary Mia says I need 100

Ok, Mary Mia of http://salsainchina.blogspot.com/ Salsa in China thinks I need at least 100 LLB flying to get this show on the road! For that I need help, as always my wonderful Mom and Dad were there for me. Their new ladybug flag is flying high in S. Florida to bring Kacey and all her July Dragonfly sisters home to their families.

It's hot in China, those babies need some air conditioning and love and attention, and, and, and. I've got my flag flying too, a gift from the Hosier Family if anyone has more LLB send me photos via email and I'll see if I can get to 100 before referrals come--these bugs will support ALL of July in July!!! Come on Angel I know you've got something for me!!!!!

Thanks Nana & Grandpa!

The ladybugs are multiplying...

OK, now Kacey has a beautiful ladybug backpack presented by dear friends Cathy & Laura. We had to have an "emergency lunch" on Saturday for the presentation just in case I needed a bit more ammo! This LLB is extra special because it was purchased at the Butterfly Garden in Calloway Gardens...that's got to count for extra credit :)

This AM I feel like a ladybug squished on a windshield, my patience is shot and I need some news, at this point any news would be welcomed! It feels like I've been holding my breath for the past week, here's hoping that relief is in sight.

The ticker says 4 days they better get a move on...

I've been way too sad to post. There's no new news and nothing but crummy rumors! Still holding out hope that I don't have to revise the ticker.

The lucky ladybug skirt is coming out of the closet on Monday--maybe that's what the CCAA is waiting for. I also added my ladybug garden flag as of yesterday, I hope CCAA is checking out my house on Googgle Earth so that they know I'm ready! Bad news, the special purchase has not arrived yet--it shipped on the 19th so I HOPE referrals are not waiting on it!!!! Just in case I'm posting a picture to get me through the weekend without it, this baby just brings a smile to my face! Aren't I going to be FINE looking in my ladybug skirt with my ladybug purse and my ladybug keychain and to think folks wonder why I'm not married! Can you say over the top??? Sure you can!

To all my early/mid July friends, hang in there it can't be much longer can it? Now that was a silly question.

I'm bringin' out the BIG GUNS!

I have officially had it! I've had it with waiting, I've had with all the organizations who have contributed to my waiting (you know who you are), I've just had it! DO NOT mess with my ticker or you may be sorry, it says 1 week & 1 day and it means one week and one day. So what am I going to do about it? Well, I'm bringing out the big guns to get those referrals moving, today I'm posting my 1st wave strike items and later this week the ladybug skirt (back fresh & clean from the cleaners) will be doned and an item I'm waiting to arrive will make it's debut. You guys are going to LOVE this one, it'll give M3's suitcase a run for the money and I plan on taking it with me everywhere I go.

If all these ladybugs don't bring on those referrals I just don't know what I'm going to do?

For my part time readers and non-adoption buddies here's why I've had it...
  1. Referrals are expected to go through July 13th--EXCELLENT news it's my turn.
  2. The CCAA may be moving their offices starting TODAY--you've GOT to be kidding me!
  3. The CCAA IS moving their offices and according to GW referrals may not arrive until the first week of August--I still refuse to believe this but am very upset/disappointed with them right now :(

Stay tuned, I may have to wear the LB skirt more that once and I HATE wearing the same thing within 30 days!!!!! Lisa S. I know that this does not surprise you :)

The Ticker is at 2 WEEKS!

Oh yeah, it's two weeks and ZERO days on the Kacey ticker and I BELIEVE the ticker and I choose to believe the All of July in July rumor from Europe too how about that! I believe it for Angel and all my buddies in August (Lisa, Mary, etc.) for whom (or who?) all of July in July would ease many paperwork pressures!

Julie W. in my LID group has started us clicking our heels and saying 3x there's no place like China, there's, no place like China, there's no place like China. I think it's working, we'll just have to see. The CCAA Director should be back from his boondoggle (business trip) to Australia and Finland or Iceland or some Land by the end of week then we can let the good times ROLL!

P.S. I couldn't find ruby slippers but I thought these shoes were pretty sassy!
Update, D found Ruby Slippers and they are FINE!
